Terms of use
Effective 2026-10-14
These terms apply to the Rheo Fitness (“Rheo”) app for iPhone and Apple Watch and to this website, both made by Owen Huang, an independent developer in Ontario, Canada (“we”). The app is also covered by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. By using Rheo you agree to both.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 to use Rheo. It processes health data, and in much of the world consent to that from anyone younger needs a parent’s.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from Profile → Delete Account. What that removes is described in the privacy policy.
Your data
What you log is yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run the app, and, while Contribute recordings is on, to use the recordings you contribute to train and evaluate Rheo’s models. It is on once the app has told you so, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by turning it off in Profile, which stops future uploads. Recordings already uploaded are removed as the privacy policy describes, when you delete your account or ask us to.
Not medical advice
Rheo is a training log, not a medical device. Nothing it shows is medical advice. Talk to a doctor before starting an exercise programme, and lift within your limits.
Acceptable use
Do not try to access other people’s data, disrupt the service, or upload anything that is not your own training.
The service
Rheo is free and is provided as is. It is new, features may change, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost data; keep anything important elsewhere too.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. This does not take away any protection the consumer law where you live gives you.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above says when they last changed, and continuing to use Rheo after a change means you accept it.
